Launched in 2016 by male weight loss specialists, MAN v FAT appeals to men who love football and hate being fat! What makes these clubs unique is that the coach weighs each player before their game. The Integrated Community Rehabilitation Service opened in May 2024 and provides specialist enhanced rehabilitation support to adults typically aged 18-65 diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health needs who would benefit from an intensive period of rehabilitation and recovery for a period of 9 months. The accommodation and support staff are provided by Penrose in two properties located in Lewisham (Catford) which provides a total of 14 beds. SLaM will be providing dedicated medical, occupational therapy, psychology input and the posts will sit within the Lewisham Directorate in SLaM. Although based in the borough of Lewisham, the service will be open to service users from 3 out of 4 boroughs served by SLaM, including Southwark and Croydon. The service will be used as an alternative to inpatient rehabilitation where possible. For homeless people, or those at risk of homelessness, finding employment and housing opportunities can feel like an uphill battle, even more so if they're affected by physical, mental health or substance misuse issues. Providence Row works with those affected by homelessness and those vulnerably housed in London, offering an integrated service of crisis support, advice and progression programmes. We ensure that people often excluded from mainstream services gain the support and opportunities they need to create a safe, healthy and sustainable life away from the streets.About the role:<ul><li>Provide psychotherapy sessions on outreach in Newham.</li><li>Flexible approach to meeting vulnerable clients.</li><li>Deliver specialised outreach psychotherapy to individuals in Newham, focusing particularly on those who are or have been rough sleepers.</li><li>Work collaboratively with Street Outreach Response Teams and other specialist agencies.</li><li>Offer both formal psychotherapy sessions and informal support, adapting to clients' needs in terms of scheduling and locations.</li><li>Conduct street shifts alongside the commissioned Outreach Service, introducing and promoting our service to potential clients.</li><li>Support individuals transitioning into emergency, temporary, or long-term accommodation.</li></ul>In order to support the achievement of these aims, the outreach psychotherapist will be responsible for managing a caseload of 12 clients per week, attending MDTs, team meetings, and any mandatory multidisciplinary meetings.
