Recovery Worker (Substance Misuse)

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking to speak with Substance misuse/D&amp;A/Recovery Workers to work within Rough Sleepers drug &amp; alcohol service in Manchester. Within this role you will be required to provide community-based engagement, assessment and brief interventions to service users with substance misuse needs. The post holder will be part of the RSDA Team and will work alongside council staff, Rough Sleeper Initiative and Housing First Dual Diagnosis Practitioners, police and homeless outreach workers providing support to rough sleepers both through drop-in clinics at day centres or directly on the street whilst working alongside outreach workers. Also you will be required to case manage a small case load of identified service users with substance misuse problems, keeping them fully informed of the range of services, support available to them and the choices they have. Whilst ensuring that they are involved in developing realistic recovery plans and facilitating access to clinical, psychosocial, health, housing interventions and other services in their own communities. The role is based within M1, and the core hours of the post are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, however you may be required to participate in flexible working to respond to needs of the homeless. Pay rate for this position is between 18.00 to 21.00 per hour depending on exp.
