You'll need proven experience of working with large groups children in school settings and strong behaviour management skills. Your ability to facilitate group discussions, handle sensitive topics with confidence, and maintain positive classroom dynamics will be essential. You'll work collaboratively with teachers, bringing energy and creativity to the workshop delivery while supporting their professional development in this important area.

ACT &amp; CFT), and Family Interventions for Psychosis, plus Open Dialogue informed network meetings and Tree of Life groups.The role involves assessment, intervention, group work and family interventions (subject to experience), plus indirect consultation and support for the MDT. Further training and supervision opportunities will be supported.You would join the Croydon Psychosis Psychological Therapies pathway which provides opportunities for shared training, development and leadership opportunities across the teams in Croydon.This role would suit a DClinPsy trainee due to qualify in September - we will support you to transition into a qualified role.The role is currently offered fixed term for 18 months, with scope to become permanent. There is an expectation to be onsite for four days a week. Main duties of the job <ol><li>To provide a specialist psychology service to individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis with the COAST early intervention team, and their families, including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.</li><li>To contribute to enabling other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.</li><li>To provide clinical supervision and consultation as appropriate.</li><li>To undertake service evaluation, audit and research.</li><li>To work as an autonomous professional within BPS and HCPC/BABCP guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work including treatment and discharge decisions with support of clinical supervisor.</li></ol> Person specification Qualifications <ul><li>Doctorate in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology that has been accepted by the HCPC for purposes of professional registration OR Postgraduate Diploma or Masters in CBT</li><li>Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist or will be eligible for registration OR Accredited with the BABCP</li><li>PGDip or PGCert in CBTp or short courses in CBTp</li></ul> Experience <ul><li>Experience of psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature such as working with psychosis or trauma presentations</li><li>Experience that supports working with, and addressing issues of, diversity within local communities. This may have been gained through work, research, volunteering and / or lived experience</li><li>Experience of working within a psychosis community team or a specialist psychosis service</li><li>Experience of working with families affected by psychosis</li></ul> Knowledge <ul><li>Theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and the evidence base for the relevant treatment for psychosis.</li><li>Knowledge of psychological assessment and clinical psychometrics</li><li>An understanding of factors affecting individuals with psychosis and their families</li></ul> Skills <ul><li>To be skilled in the administration of psychometric and neuropsychological tests, including those that require complex manipulation of test materials</li><li>To communicate skilfully and sensitively complex and sensitive information with clients, carers and colleagues overcoming barriers to communication including sensory, and emotional difficulties, cultural differences and hostility to or rejection of information</li><li>Well-developed IT skills including entry and analysis of research data</li><li>Ability to engage individuals with psychosis or trauma history in psychological therapy</li></ul> Abilities <ul><li>Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to effective team functioning and holding team roles</li></ul>The Trust is committed to providing services which embrace diversity and that promote equality of opportunity.
