Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.

 <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
 <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
 <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
 <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
 <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
 <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
 <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
 <li>We have places available in our projects in both primary and secondary schools nationwide.</li>

*Counting your hours
All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. However if you need to gain clinical hours for your course, we would strongly advise that you check with your course tutor as to whether child hours are accepted before applying. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.

You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:

 <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
 <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>

Assistant Coach: £2500-3000 per season on a self-employed basis dependent on availability for training and matches.Role Duration: Pre-season and season 25/26 (August '25-May '26)Place of work: Various venues in Glasgow as required and 'away' match attendance.Hours: 4-12 Hours per week during the season dependent on availability. Role Specifications Glasgow University Men's and Women's clubs are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for student hockey players from international performance level to recreational and beginner level hockey. These roles will focus on the 1st Teams for both the Men's and Women's clubs where the short to medium term goal is to provide a suitable environment for U21 and Senior international hockey players to develop and compete alongside studying world class degree programmes at University of Glasgow. The Women's Club are currently competing in the top half of the Scottish Hockey Women's Premiership and the men are vying for a promotion to the Men's Premiership. Both clubs will be competing in the Scottish 1A BUCS Leagues in season 25/26.Performance teams are supported by the University with access to coached Strength and Conditioning sessions twice per week, free access to sports rehabilitation, sports psychology, sports nutrition and access to minibus transport. Training for 1st teams and home matches are currently located at Glasgow National Hockey Centre and Balgray, Kelvinside Academy. Training takes place on Monday and Thursday Evenings with matches at weekends. Increase Ofgem's impact as a regulatory leader in Behavioural Science by representing Ofgem at external events, conferences etc to showcase the work of behavioural science in Ofgem.</li><li>Innovation: Keep abreast of advances in the field of Behavioural Science and how this can be applied in Ofgem.</li></ul> Requirements <ul><li>Hands-on experience of behavioural research and statistical analysis (including designing and programming online experiments, other experimental and quasi-experimental methods and literature reviews) with proven experience of personally delivering online experiments (LEAD)</li><li>Advanced knowledge and understanding of behavioural science and/or behavioural economics with an up to date understanding of the key literature (LEAD)</li><li>Experience of applying behavioural science in a real-world setting (e.g. in a regulatory, government, academia or consultancy role)</li><li>Ability to distil complex subject matter into relevant messages for different audiences - both orally and in writing, combined with excellent drafting skills.</li><li>Experience working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders</li><li>Applied experience of wider qualitative and quantitative research approaches.</li><li>Understanding of energy policy issues - particularly around retail markets and Net Zero.</li></ul>
