Editorial vs. Advertorial Content

While both advertorials and editorial content aim to inform and engage readers, advertorials have a secondary purpose of promoting a product or service, whereas editorial content primarily focuses on providing information or news.

Editorial content is published on our site to inform, educate, or entertain readers and should not be used to promote or sell services and products.

How long should a post be?

Blog posts can vary in length anywhere from 300 - 2,000 words depending on the topic, audience and purpose of the content.

Examples of blog post lengths:

  • Call to action advertorial: 300 - 500 words
  • News and announcements: 300 - 500 words
  • Listicles: 800 - 1,500 words
  • How-to guides: 1,500 - 2,500 words
  • Product or service reviews: 1,500+ words
  • Case studies and profiles: 2,000 - 2,500 words

How will my post be structured?

  • compelling introduction
  • main body of text with short paragraphs in clear sections and key word subheadings

  • summary and call to action

What is a call to action?
