Opportunity for 12-month staff contract
Job title: Counsellor for Children & Young People
Location: Based in Stanley Harrison House, Malton
Details: 10.5 hour post - offering 7 Client Sessions
Salary: £32,654 pa - pro-rata = £9,267
This is a 10.5-hour contract for 7 client sessions a week, to work with children & young people (CHYP) living in the districts of Ryedale, Scarborough and North Yorkshire, who are not eligible for support through the Victim Counselling Service or local NHS services.
The job role will include providing mentor support to counsellors currently undertaking placement hours training to work with Children and Young people.
We are happy to be flexible in agreeing a preferred working pattern in terms of days but would ask for a commitment to providing several after-school sessions.
Applicants must be qualified to Diploma level or equivalent, be accredited with the BACP or the UKCP, or eligible to apply, and have relevant training and experience in counselling children and young people.
Professional fees and contributions towards supervision costs for Staff Counsellors are paid by Community Counselling.
The role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
