NonStop Consulting are currently partnered with a reputable local authority in the East Midlands is seeking a dedicated Locum Educational Psychologist to join their team. This face-to-face role offers an excellent opportunity to work hands-on with schools, families, and other professionals, providing vital assessments, interventions, and support to enhance the educational experiences of children and young people. With a competitive daily rate and flexible working options, this position is ideal for an experienced Educational Psychologist who thrives in a collaborative, impactful setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth assessments to identify learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans, working closely with educators, parents, and carers.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to teachers, parents, and school teams to optimise student support.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary meetings, contributing to comprehensive support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to statutory reports and assessments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Educational Psychologist, registered with the HCPC.
  • Proven experience with children and young people in educational or community settings.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice, safeguarding protocols, and relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
