Purpose of Role:

Social Prescribing is a way of supporting people’s mental & physical health and wellbeing by connecting them with a range of community activities, groups, services and supporting individuals to do so.

Working alongside the BlueSCI Wellbeing Practitioners supporting individuals with their mental health and wellbeing. Through a range of community activities, support to attend appointments, practical help e.g. helping fill in forms or make phone calls.

Main Tasks:

  • Work alongside the Wellbeing Practitioners to support individuals to access community activities and /or practical help.
  • Listen to the person and engage in activities with them. 
  • Signpost or refer to relevant services and suggest activities with the individual. 
  • Attend support meetings to report on progress and receive guidance.

  • In-house training provided
  • Other training opportunities available

Availability:

Flexible times available, within Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

Bluesci at Night: Monday – Friday 7pm – 2am, Saturday & Sunday 5pm – 2am.
