Registered Nurse ( RMN , RNLD or RGN )
Location: Llanelli, Carmarthenshire
Salary: £17.30 - £19.89 per hour + paid breaks (£33,735 - £38,785.50 per annum based on 37.5 hours per week)
Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time available (Choose between 24 or 36 or 48 hours per week - 2, 3 or 4 shifts)
Shifts: Day shifts (12.75 hours 7.45am - 8.30pm), Night shifts (11.75 hours 8.15pm - 8am), or Mixed (rotational) - Flexible options to suit your preference


Summary:
Appoint Healthcare is proud to collaborate with a leading national provider of health and social care services, delivering exceptional support to adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities. We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ), Registered Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD ) or Registered General Nurse ( RGN ) to join our expert multidisciplinary team in our purpose built 49 bed Specialist Care Home located in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, that supports adults with complex needs. The Service is managed by a knowledgeable and skilled Registered General Nurse and highly experienced Manager.


Role Overview:
As a RMN, RNLD or RGN in our Specialist Complex Care Home, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Our team consists of Registered Mental Health Nurses, Learning Disability Nurses, General Nurses and experienced QCF 2 & 3 qualified Care Team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Holistic Resident Assessment: Assess residents' physical, psychological, and social needs, considering lifestyle, gender, and background to develop tailored care plans.
  • Collaborative Care Plans: Work with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and involve patients and families to create effective care strategies.
  • Ongoing Care Evaluation: Continuously assess and improve care needs, updating care plans and records to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Health Communication: Provide clear explanations of how aging affects health and lifestyle, and offer guidance on maximising comfort, dignity, and independence.
  • Daily Visits & Support: Conduct daily assessments of service users to promote their physical and mental well-being and ensure a supportive environment.
  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead and supervise the multi-disciplinary team, including training, performance evaluation, and orientation of new staff.
  • Staff Development: Organise and coordinate staff duties, providing guidance and support to improve overall staff performance.

The Care Home offers a range of mandatory and special interest training programs and opportunities for gaining additional knowledge and skills.

There is both in house and training department consisting of face-to-face and e-learning platforms, in addition to our joint working with RCN Wales and other external providers.


Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ), Registered Learning Disability Nurse ( RNLD ) or Registered General Nurse ( RGN ).
  • Experience in mental health care, particularly with challenging behaviours.
  • Strong communication, administrative, and computer skills.
  • A compassionate, person-centred approach to care.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
