A rewarding opportunity has opened for a Senior Social Worker to join the Child and Family Help Team at a local authority in West London. This role involves working with children and families to provide early intervention and support, promoting positive outcomes and preventing issues from escalating into child protection cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Support: Undertake detailed assessments of children and families, identifying their needs and risks, and developing effective support plans to improve outcomes.
- Intervention Planning: Work collaboratively with families, providing practical support and guidance to resolve difficulties and strengthen family relationships.
- Multi-Agency Working: Liaise with schools, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to coordinate services and ensure holistic support for families.
- Early Intervention: Deliver targeted interventions to families in need of additional support, helping to prevent further escalation of issues and maintaining family stability.
- Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and thorough recording of casework and effective decision-making in line with safeguarding policies.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the Child and Family Help Team to ensure integrated service delivery and participate in regular team meetings and case discussions.
- Safeguarding: Keep the safety and well-being of children as a top priority, identifying and responding to potential safeguarding concerns and escalating cases when necessary.
