This service is continually growing and trying innovative ways to meet the needs of a diverse group of individuals.As a Bereavement Counsellor, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, managing your own caseload and supporting service development.You will be qualified to a minimum of Level 5 Counselling and have experience in supporting adults and children through difficult situations. The Head of Counselling Service will support the Deputy Head of Student Services (Wellbeing) in implementing the overall strategic intent for student wellbeing across the School and within SWS. The postholder will be responsible for the leadership, development, organisation and management of the student and the staff counselling services. The postholder will work with the Deputy Head of Counselling Service and other managers within the team to ensure an integrated range of services to students and staff.The successful post-holder will be a highly experienced clinician, with in depth knowledge of a broad range of counselling models, excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, personal resilience in managing conflicting demands and implementing change, and strong leadership skills to be able to manage and develop a team and support staff working under pressure.
